Mediation Introduction

What is Mediation?
Mediation is a voluntary, confidential process to help you resolve your issues and conflicts.

How does Mediation work?
Everyone involved meets together to discuss what happened. Then the mediators meet with you alone to find out what’s important and help you explore solutions.  Everyone then comes back together to write up any agreements. You control the outcome.

Who are the Mediators?
Mediators are neutrals. They don’t take sides, decide who’s right or wrong, or give advice. All Cape Mediation mediators have completed training approved by the Mass. Bar Association.

What are the benefits of Mediation?
Mediation promotes communication and cooperation.  It empowers you to make the decisions that affect your life. Mediation is confidential. It can de-escalate, manage, and resolve conflict. Mediation is a win-win process.
