Director of Mediation Services and Training
Deborah developed and oversees the Center’s current mediation programs. She coordinates mediation services in the Small Claims Courts of Barnstable and Orleans. Deborah is responsible for the supervision and ongoing training of Cape Mediation’s panel of over 40 mediators. She has trained more than 500 people in the Intensive Mediation Skills Training. She has been mediating since 1986. She has been a divorce mediation practitioner and is a conflict resolution trainer in the workplace, parent/child, family, community, small claims, school peer mediation, teacher and school staff training, and train-the-trainers. She trained as part of the Attorney General’s Crisis Intervention Team (CIT). Deborah is a graduate of Bates College and is a member of The National Association of Community Mediation Programs and the Association for Conflict Resolution. She has been a guest lecturer on mediation at Boston University’s Graduate School of Communication. She provides consultation services to organizations, small businesses and individuals, and is a contracted mediator and trainer for the Mass. Office of Dispute Resolution.
